Policy Work Group (PWG)

(An initiative of the NCIHC Policy, Education & Research Committee)


Description:

The Policy Work Group (PWG) was created to monitor policy that impacts language access in healthcare, inform members about said policies, and respond in a manner appropriate for the organization. Volunteers are responsible for staying informed about policy initiatives that affect language access in health care and drafting responses on behalf of the Council when appropriate.

 

Volunteers interested in serving on the PWG will also have an opportunity to share and develop…

 

  • Understanding of limitations for 501(c)3 non-profit organizations

  • Proficiency in research and analysis

  • Experience with public relations, advocacy, law, or policy.
