2024 NCIHC Language Access Champion
Congratulations to Ludmila Golovine, our 2024 Language Access Champion!
Mila was chosen from over a dozen highly qualified nominees to receive this year’s Language Access Champion Award, in recognition of her major contributions over the past 30 years to the field of language access in healthcare. Many of you will know Mila as the founder and CEO of MasterWord Services in Houston, TX. But did you also know that she is a founding member of the Global Coalition for Language Rights, of Interpreting SafeAI, and of the Mayan Languages Preservation Project? Did you know that she has held leadership roles at TAHIT and HITA, and has actively lobbied the Texas State legislature to require certification of healthcare interpreters?
